One pair of donated shoes serves two purposes; affordable footwear AND clean, safe water!

Once collected, the shoes are given a second life when EDGE exports the donated shoes to retailers in the developing world. The resale of shoes provides jobs and affordable footware.

Affordable shoes are a life saving tool as they protect the new owner's feet and overall health from foot abrasions, parasites and mites. Funds generated from the export of shoes provide water purification systems and hand pump repair mirco businesses to bring safe, clean water to those who thirst.

EDGE OUTREACH trains individuals and organizations to provide safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Year-round training includes community water assessment, water treatment, health education, sanitation, and hand pump repair.
