EDGE Executive Director Mark Hogg writes - More than 100 medical doctors in the Louisville area's Pakistani community supported EDGE OUTREACH's Haiti disaster response. And now, we have the privilege of helping this community respond to the humanitarian crisis caused by the unprecedented flooding in Pakistan.
The second week of August, Pakistan-born doctors Muhammad Babar and Shahid Qamar came to EDGE OUTREACH seeking ways to help victims of this great flood. The request was simple; can EDGE OUTREACH prepare them to train others on water systems to help those in dire need of safe water? Full story HERE.

Sisters; Eraaj,Sophia and Emaan Mahmood raised over $2900 for water purifiers for Pakistan.
They made a poster and put it in the lobby of their building and many of their neighbors made conrtibutions. Their mother put a notice on facebook and they received more contributions, now over $5000. Their father generously matched these donations.
Their donation will provide four needed water purifiers for flood victims in Pakistan.

An Edge Outreach Health and Hygiene team was aboard the U.S.S Iwo Jima July 22 - Aug 3 participating in Continuing Promise 2010. Continuing Promise is a humanitarian mission of US Southern Command. The Iwo Jima was anchored off the Haiti coast near Port-a Paix. Story HERE.
