"I Thirst" — O WHAT A NIGHT!
Thank you for attending our first annual “I Thirst” benefit.
The night was filled with laughter, stories, great food, and hopefully an larger awareness of what EDGE does in the field. “EDGE gear” was auctioned off:
- 4 purifiers which together can provide water for up to 40,000 people a day,
- 4 storage tanks to be placed in the field,
- round trip travel for one person on one of our missions to Costa Rica or the Dominican Republic,
- a digital zoom camera,
- a water sculpture and various other items
GRAND TOTAL - Clean water resources are immediately available for those who need it!
This is huge for EDGE, never before have we held a fundraiser and never could we have imagined the generosity of God’s caring people. Thank you again and again.

"I Thirst"
During Lent we reflected on Jesus' words, "I thirst." We also remembered the importance of these words to Mother Theresa. Her personal calling was a response to Jesus' cry “I Thirst.” She says she spent her life attempting to “quench the thirst of Jesus.” The existence of her ministry was based on the same. Above every altar in each Sisters of Charity chapel are the words, “I Thirst.”
