When EDGE OUTREACH first started the vision ministry it was initiated by our work with Gypsies in Romania. Glasses are very expensive in Romania and outcasts like the Gypsies are seldom able to get glasses. We hoped to eventually send an optical lab to Romania which would provide glasses and needed employment. Through our incredible vision volunteers old optical lab equipment was donated to EDGE to be refurbished and sent to Romania at some future date. The optical lab equipment, though over 50 years old, is still capable of making excellent eyeglasses. Jake Krill, a retired master optical lab engineer, refurbished the optical lab and it was shipped in October 2008
