More than 300 homeless persons had one or all of these services:  Eye screening,

exams and glasses if needed, health assessment, hair cut, gloves and hats, and a hot

meal.

This was a partnership that developed when Jeff Fuson, pastor of Phos Hilaron Church

came to EDGE and ask us to help them do a service project. Phos Hilaron is a new

church that has 'service' worship — a Sunday time of community service.  Jefferson

Street Baptist Center, a ministry to Homeless, is a long time partner with EDGE. The

EDGE Vision Ministry lead by Dee Dee Hurt and Susan Kidwell organized a Free Health/

Vision Clinic at Jeff St Baptist Center that would involve Phos Hilaron Church, the

EDGE  Vision Team, and our new partnership with Bellarmine University School of

Nursing.
